We consider our children’s ministry to be the most important ministry of the church. It ministers not only to the children but also to the parents because it allows each parent to be a part of the adult service and allows God to pour his life into them with out any outside distractions.  That is why we have developed and entire new children’ s program located in our “KID ZONE” department.  This ministry is about focusing, developing, and equipping the children in what it means to live a Christian life.  All of our children programs promote family values and encourages communication about God between the children and their parents.  Listed below are all of our children’s ministries:

Nursery (6 weeks – 3 years old)

TCWC KID ZONE Nursery is a safe and secure place for your infant or toddler.   Here in the Nursery, your child will find a loving and peaceful environment.

Upon arrival, you will sign in your child at the sign in booth and your child will be issued a security number for identification purposes.  We recommend parents bring a diaper bag and bottle, both labeled with your child’s name.  You are welcome to bring any comfort items your child might have such as a blanket or favorite toy.  You will also want to bring a change of clothes for you child just in case of those sometime “oops” moments. 

For your child’s health, we have implemented a “Sickness Policy” and this policy not only protects your child but the other children who attend the nursery.  Our nursery workers diligently work at providing a clean and sanitized nursery room for your children.

The TCWC KID ZONE Nursery program is available during every adult worship service.

How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child be at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to TCWC KID ZONE Nursery. If you would like to attend the church during an adult worship service prior to your child being six weeks old, you are welcome to sit in the nursery room with your child and view the adult service via TV monitor.

Where is TCWC KID ZONE Nursery?
The KID ZONE Nursery is located behind the sanctuary in the north end of main building.  You can either enter the KID ZONE area through the main sanctuary or enter by using the west or north entrance in the main building.

How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, you will be notified by the display of the security number, issued to you when you signed in your child, on the T.V. monitors on both sides of the stage in the main sanctuary during the worship services.

Will my child have the same lead nursery worker each week?
Yes.  We realize that children start forming relationships even at very early ages, and this is why we have  full time associates who work hand in hand  with your child so that the tough transition with withdrawal from parent to child and child to parent will be made easier with less or no friction.  We will do our best to make sure your child attends the same room with the same lead nursery worker if you attend the same service each week.

How can I volunteer in the KID ZONE?
There are many positions available where you can serve.  These include greeting families, checking in children, assisting lead teachers, assisting in the Kid’s media department, and being apart of the construction teams and many more!  For more information on how to be involved, speak to one of the Pastors during any one of our services.

Preschool (3 – 5 years old)

TCWC KID ZONE Preschool is a children’s ministry that is full of objects for kids to touch, wild and wiggly activities to get them moving, crafts that will love getting into, and real life situations they can relate to.  Our goal is to help each child master one concept at a time by creatively repeating the Bottom Line in a way that it will stick and that by the time each child is of the age of five, he or she will be able to know and say:  God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Upon arrival, you will sign in your child at the sign table located at the entrance into the KID ZONE, and there your child will be issued a security number for identification purposes.

Elementary (Grades K -5th grades)

TCWC KID ZONE Elementary is a children’s ministry for children who are in the grades of kindergarten through 5th grades.  Here in the KID ZONE your child will be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, and loveable characters that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level.  There are three Basic Truths that are instilled in a way that every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52… and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man.  Each Basic Truth is taught in a way that every child who participates will grow up and say:  I need to make the wise choice in everything that I do in life, I can trust God no matter what the circumstance, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
